Man found with serious head injuries on Dublin road

The man was discovered with head injuries in the Skerries area.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING all circumstances surrounding the discovery of an unconscious man in the Skerries area of north Dublin overnight.

The man was found with serious head injuries just outside of the Loughshinny area in the early hours of this morning.

Injuries

The road is currently closed as forensic investigators examine the scene.

A garda spokesman said it is too early in the investigation to determine whether the man was involved in a road traffic incident or if he could have been the victim of a crime.

Gardaí sealed off a green area and a section of the road where the man was discovered.

Anyone with any information is being urged to contact their local garda station or contact the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
